Appointments

How to make an appointment

Our appointment line is open 8.30am Monday to Friday,  if you think you need to be seen or need to speak to someone, please call us or drop in and book an appointment. We operate a care navigation system which means that your problem will be assessed when you speak to us and you will be directed to the most  appropriate person to respond to your request. This may not always be a doctor, your issue may have been redirected to one of our alternative practitioners or advice relayed via our admin team.

Changes to our appointment system.

The Welsh Government have requested that all GP Practices move towards a more blended form of appointments, offering on the day access, booked face to face or telephone appointments.

Pre-bookable face to face and pre-bookable telephone appointments are available to book up to six weeks in advance. This can be done via the reception desk or telephone. You will be able to choose between face to face or telephone appointment with a clinician.

Please Note: Our staff are operating under the instructions of the Doctors. The doctors are aware that the staff are asking you questions if you call for an appointment and have approved this in order to maintain an effective triaged appointment system. Please understand this and be courteous to our staff who are only following procedures. Please also bear in mind that all our calls are recorded and we operate a zero tolerance policy on patients being abusive or aggressive towards our staff.

Cancellations

If you cannot keep or no longer require your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can offer the appointment to someone else.  You cannot cancel an appointment within 1 hour of the appointment time; this is a failed appointment.
